«Nauryz» Square

Modern city

Nauryz Square is one of Shymkent's modern and well-maintained public spaces. It serves as a venue for festive celebrations, concerts, and cultural programs.

Nauryz square is one of Shymkent’s most distinctive public spaces, combining architectural beauty with deep cultural significance. Despite the city’s rapid development and the emergence of new attractions, the square continues to hold a special place among the city’s landmarks.

The total area of the square exceeds one hectare.

The square features architectural compositions that reflect the national spirit and cultural heritage of the kazakh people. Among them is the composition «Auylym – Altyn Besigim» («My Village is My Golden Cradle»), symbolizing love for one’s homeland. Decorative elements such as «Kokparshy», «Kyz Kuu», «Tenge Ilu», and «Burkitshi» artistically represent traditional kazakh customs, equestrian games, and the nomadic way of life.

Nauryz square is not only a place for recreation but also an important cultural venue where national values, history, and traditions are harmoniously combined.
