The Philharmonic Hall is a center of culture and musical arts that has been operating since 1930. It hosts concerts, musical evenings, and a variety of creative and cultural events throughout the year.

The Shamshi Kaldayakov philharmonic hall is one of the first philharmonic institutions in Kazakhstan and holds a special place in the cultural life of Shymkent. Founded on August 15, 1930, it has made a significant contribution to the development of national music and performing arts.

Shamshi Kaldayakov was an outstanding Kazakh composer, People's Artist of Kazakhstan, and is widely known as the «King of the Kazakh Waltz». His works have become part of the golden treasury of Kazakhstan’s national culture. His song «Menin Qazaqstanym» composed in 1956, later became the National Anthem of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

The philharmonic regularly hosts concerts of classical and traditional music, as well as performances by leading artists representing both kazakh and international musical traditions.

In 2010, the building underwent a complete reconstruction, resulting in the creation of a modern cultural complex with excellent acoustics and a high level of comfort.

Today, the Shamshi Kaldayakov pilharmonic hall is a unique cultural center introducing visitors to the richness of Kazakh musical heritage.
