«Kazyna» Ethno-historical Complex

The Qazyna Ethno-Historical Complex is a cultural and educational site covering 75 hectares. It is one of the city's scenic attractions where history and modern recreation are harmoniously combined.

The «Kazyna» ethno-historical complex is one of the most significant historical and cultural attractions in Shymkent. The complex is located along Baidibek Bi avenue within a vast landscaped area. It serves not only as a recreational destination but also as an educational and cultural space dedicated to promoting national history and spiritual heritage.

Opened in 2012, the complex now covers an area of 75 hectares and is one of the largest cultural sites in the city. One of its key attractions is the «Baidibek Bi» monument, which has become one of the symbols of Shymkent. Situated on an elevated site, the monument represents a historical figure who contributed greatly to strengthening national unity and statehood. The location is also a popular viewpoint for panoramic city views and memorable photographs.

Approximately 300 meters south of the monument stands the monumental composition dedicated to the «550th anniversary of the Kazakh Khanate».

At the lower section of the complex lies «Nauryz» square, one of the city's principal venues for cultural celebrations and public events.

Today, the «Kazyna» ethno-historical complex is an important cultural landmark of Shymkent, reflecting the city's historical identity, promoting national values, and attracting numerous visitors and tourists.
