«Independence» park is an important cultural and recreational complex located in the historic part of Shymkent. It was officially opened in 2011 in honor of the 20th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

At the entrance to the park stands a majestic 15-meter-high Triumphal Arch. It gives the complex a ceremonial appearance and welcomes visitors with the spirit of independence.
