«Altyn Shanyraq» Monument
Altyn Shanyraq is a symbolic monument representing friendship, unity, and harmony among the people of Kazakhstan. It is widely regarded as a symbol of peace, mutual understanding, and national solidarity.
The «Altyn Shanyraq» monument was unveiled in 2011 in honor of the 20th Anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan and serves as the central architectural composition of «Independence» park in Shymkent.
This monument symbolizes national unity, love for the Motherland, friendship, and harmony among representatives of different ethnic groups.
The architectural structure consists of 137 metal columns symbolizing the 137 ethnic groups living in Kazakhstan. Together they appear to support a common «golden shanyraq», representing unity and social harmony.
Today, the «Altyn Shanyraq» monument is an important spiritual symbol of independence, peace, and social cohesion.
